2. Scope of these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases and bookings made through our website, including:
Online workshops and learning experiences
Digital toolkits, guides and downloadable resources
Training, facilitation and advisory services, unless separate written terms have been agreed
Additional conditions may be stated on individual product pages, booking confirmations or service agreements.
Where separate written agreements have been made for corporate engagements, those agreements take precedence in the event of a conflict.
Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.
3. Booking and purchasing
When you place an order or register for a learning experience, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.
A booking or purchase is confirmed when we have accepted your order and issued a confirmation.
Places in workshops may be limited and are allocated according to confirmed bookings.
Please check the date, time zone, format and other details carefully before completing your purchase.
4. Prices and payments
Prices are displayed on our website in euros (€).
The applicable price, VAT treatment and total amount payable will be communicated before you complete your purchase.
Payment for online purchases and workshop registrations is generally required at checkout, unless otherwise agreed.
Payments are processed through the payment methods available on our website.
For separately contracted professional services, payment terms will be specified in the relevant proposal, invoice or agreement.
5. Online workshops and learning experiences
Our live online experiences are designed to be participatory, practical and respectful.
By joining, you agree to:
Participate respectfully and constructively
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow participants
Avoid sharing confidential organisational or personal information without permission
Refrain from recording or distributing the session without our prior written consent
We may provide supporting materials before, during or after a session.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, purchasing a place in a workshop grants access to that specific session only.
We aim to deliver the experience as described but may make reasonable adjustments to the format, activities or supporting materials where necessary.
6. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
We understand that plans can change.
For live workshops and learning experiences, the applicable cancellation and rescheduling arrangements will be communicated before booking and described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
If we cancel a paid session and cannot provide an agreed alternative, you will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid for that session.
If we propose a material change to the date or format, we will inform you and explain your options.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Consumer right of withdrawal
Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
For services, the withdrawal period generally begins when the contract is concluded.
If you expressly request that a service begin during the withdrawal period, specific rules may apply to payment for services already provided and to the loss of withdrawal rights after full performance.
For digital content supplied without a physical medium, different rules may apply where immediate delivery begins with the consumer's legally required express consent and acknowledgement.
Some date-specific services may qualify for statutory exceptions. We will not assume that an exception applies solely because a workshop is scheduled for a particular date.
We will explain the applicable withdrawal rights, any exceptions and the method for exercising those rights before purchase.
For questions or withdrawal requests, contact hello@astridvanwanum.com.
8. Digital products and resources
Digital products are generally supplied electronically, through a download link, online access or another method described at checkout.
You are responsible for ensuring that your device and software can access the stated file format.
Unless otherwise specified, purchasing a digital product grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the material for your own professional or personal development.
You may not resell, redistribute, publish or commercially reproduce our materials without prior written permission.
Any statutory rights relating to digital content, conformity, withdrawal or remedies remain unaffected.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the content, learning materials, frameworks, designs, illustrations, text and other original resources provided by ALIVE are owned by Astrid van Wanum or used with appropriate permission.
You may use purchased resources within the licence granted at the time of purchase.
You may not reproduce or distribute substantial parts of our content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
You retain ownership of any original material you provide to us.
10. Professional advice and outcomes
Our workshops, tools and advisory services are intended to support learning, reflection, decision-making and organisational development.
We bring professional experience, methods and perspectives to our work, but outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, our resources and learning experiences do not constitute legal, financial, medical or other regulated professional advice.
We do not guarantee particular business, career or organisational results.
11. Liability
We take reasonable care in preparing and delivering our products and services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from the use of our materials in ways for which they were not intended.
Any further liability arrangements for separately contracted corporate services will be addressed in the relevant written agreement.
12. Technical issues and availability
We aim to provide reliable access to our website, digital products and online learning experiences.
However, temporary interruptions may occur due to technical problems, maintenance or third-party platform issues.
If a technical issue materially prevents us from delivering a paid service, we will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy, such as rescheduling or a refund, taking account of your statutory rights.
13. Privacy and personal information
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You can read it at:
https://astridvanwanum.com/privacy-policy
14. Complaints and questions
If something is not right, please contact us so we can understand the issue and work towards a reasonable solution.
Email: hello@astridvanwanum.com
We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and provide a substantive response within a reasonable period.
You retain any legal rights to pursue a complaint through a competent authority or court.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our services, business operations or applicable law.
The version applicable to a purchase is generally the version made available when the contract was concluded, unless a later change is agreed or required by law.
16. Applicable law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply in your country of habitual residence.
Disputes will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
Nothing in this section deprives consumers of mandatory legal protections or jurisdictional rights.
